Lindsay Hough’s (Private Singing) passion for singing shines through every aspect of her career : her sparkling stage presence, her professionalism, and above all else, her spectacular voice. Lindsay has a polished vocal technique and experience that is beyond her 22 years. Singing, dancing and acting since the age of five, Lindsay has performed in numerous venues throughout the Los Angeles area. Her extensive musical theatre and acting credits include Annie, The Wizard of Oz, Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat, Little Women, Pinocchio, and Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory. She was nominated for a Canyon Theatre Guild Goldie in 2001 for her role as The Cat in Pinocchio. For four years Lindsay participated in the advanced show choir at William S. Hart High School, where in her senior year she was voted Best Female Vocalist. She was a solo finalist at the esteemed Show Choir Camps of America in Decatur, Illinois, and twice a finalist at the National Association of Teachers of Singing (NATS) in Los Angeles, where she dazzled the judges and was selected from hundreds of contestants to sing at the final recitals. In 2003, she was a semi-finalist in the 15th annual Music Center Spotlight Awards. Lindsay studied voice for many years with acclaimed teacher Andrea Vibe of Vibe Performing Arts Studios in her hometown of Santa Clarita, CA. In 2005, Lindsay moved to Boston where she studied vocal performance at the Berklee College of Music. Currently living in Los Angeles she is studying “speech-level singing” with the renowned John Henny. Lindsay hopes to inspire her students to find a true love for the arts like she has in her life.
Emily Rader (Private Cello) discovered her love for music at a very young age and began playing the cello at age 9. Her desire for a career in this field has motivated her to pursue two undergraduate degrees, a Bachelor of Arts, Music with an emphasis in Communication, and a Bachelor of Science, Business with an emphasis in Public Relations. She comes to Vibe with experience in the performance and recording world, as well as teaching those who also love the cello! Emily is excited to see others fall in love with the instrument she is most passionate about.
Pianist and Composer Matt Sazima (Private Piano) is a freelance musician and educator from
Sacramento, CA. He received his B.M. in improvised music from Willamette University in Salem,
Oregon. While there, Sazima received a downbeat award for his vocal jazz arrangement of
Hoagy Carmichael’s Skylark, and was also a part of Willamette University’s vocal jazz group,
the Willamette Singers, when they received a downbeat award for best undergraduate large
vocal group in 2014. Sazima his recorded 4 times with this group. He is currently pursuing a
graduate degree from California Institue of the Arts! Matt has performed in various places around the country, including the Majestic Theater in Dallas, Ivories Jazz Lounge in Portland, the Elsinore Theatre in Salem, and the Gallo Center
for the Arts in Modesto. In March of 2014, Matt traveled to Nepal with a group of students and
professors to serve as a visiting educator at the Kathmandu Jazz Conservatory. For a week, he
coached student ensembles and helped lead workshops. While in Kathmandu, Matt performed
at the Kathmandu Jazz Conservatory, Moksh Restaurant and Night Club, Patan Durbar Square,
and the Last Resort as part of the Sundance Music Festival. Matt’s Compositions have been
performed by Willamette’s Chamber Choir, The Willamette Singers, the Fear No Music String
Quartet, and his modern jazz quartet Vertical Development! Matt has studied under David Roitstein, Joe Gilman, James Miley, Bennett Paster, John Peel, Mike Nord, Julian Snow, Tyler Abbott, Ryan Biesack, Wallace Long Jr., Jeff Baker, Mike
Horsfall and Paul Novros. Matt is excited to be a part of the VIBE team!
Dean Roubicek (Private Woodwinds- Sax, Flute, and Clarinet) has been a respected woodwind performer/clinician for the past 25 years. He teaches and performs on all saxophones, flute and clarinet, as well as writing/arranging music. The teaching keyword is FUN. Enjoy Dean attended the Ohio State University on clarinet scholarship, and a year later, transferred to the Berklee College of music in Boston, Mass. as a jazz saxophone performer/arranger. After college, immediately hit the road with a variety of music acts. Dean accepts students of all ages, from children just starting out to professional performers looking to further themselves. He also teaches instrumental improvisation classes in all contexts….Jazz, rock, or R&B/blues. Dean is extremely happy to be a part of Andrea Vibe`s wonderful school with its highly creative atmosphere!
